Can you help Bristol Cycling become a registered charity?

Bristol Cycling Campaign is a voluntary organisation working to make Bristol a great city for cycling.

We have been active for over 40 years but have never made the jump to become a registered charity (read more about us here).

We are looking someone who can help take us through the process in 2022.

We are open to a pro-bono offer from a legal firm, expert advice on a voluntary basis or paying the right person if required. This is not just a matter of filling in some forms as there will be changes required to our constitution, and to the way we handle memberships and donations to claim Gift Aid, for example. We need someone to guide the Committee through the process by setting out implications and options.

The next five years represent a huge opportunity (and challenge) for the Bristol region to invest heavily in cycling and wheeling and improve the health and connectivity of our city, as well as working towards the crucial net-zero target. Given these challenges we face in the coming years we want to become a stronger voice for safer cycling in the city as a result of gaining charitable status in 2022.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to take our small organisation to the next level and help us to help Bristol become a better, safer place to cycle.

Please contact us to arrange a phone call or meeting if you think you may be able to help us.
