At our recent Annual Review 2022, we were delighted to elect Ian Pond as our new Chair.
Ian has been involved in Bristol Cycling for two years and also established the brilliant CyclingWorks Bristol initiative and has lead the initiative since Summer 2020.
Ian’s priorities for 2022 are outlined below. If you would like to contact Ian please email [email protected]
A big thank you to outgoing chairs Toby Wells and Tom Swithinbank, Toby and Tom will remain on the committee leading our Infrastructure and Partnerships work respectively.
Join us on Tuesday 8th March and tell us your ideas for Bristol Cycling and to help inform our plans for 2022.
We want to hear your ideas, big, small, expensive and free for things we should be campaigning for and focusing on in 2022 and beyond. As always, the ideas that are most likely to happen are those that you are looking for some help in making happen. Suggestions for things other people might do are always interesting but lack that ‘certain something’ to spark a campaign. You will be certain to find things you want to contribute to.
We’ll also hear from Ben Pullen from LYTE ebike subscription service who will be telling us all about this new model of cycling coming to Bristol.
19:15pm. Hold Bar, Grain Barge, Hotwells Road
It would be great if you could let us know if you are coming so we have an idea of numbers! Just Contact Us or get in touch through social media.
If you can’t make it next Tuesday but have an idea for us, please let us know on [email protected]
The priorities for 2022 were outlined at the Annual Review and are as follows:
- Get better organised to ensure members know when our meetings are, what they will be about and how they can get involved.
- Get better at encouraging members to offer their help, without being left to feel unsupported.
- To build more & deeper collaborations with Cycling, Walking, & like-minded groups
- To work to improve local community representation & participation from all parts of the City & wider areas ie Liveable Neighbourhoods, Schools Streets, Play Streets, Cycle Training, etc.
